CARETAKER Prime Minister, Gordon Darcy Lilo has denied reports circulating both in Honiara and in the Western Province of him being ill and in critical condition.
Reports had it that Mr Lilo had suffered from a mild stroke whilst on his campaign trail the past week and was in critical condition at the Gizo hospital in Western Province.
In an interview with national broadcaster, SIBC, Mr Lilo denied the reports, adding that he is healthy and in perfect condition.
“I do not know where the rumours came from, however I would like to clarify that I am in perfect health condition.
“Illnesses may be circulating such as viral diseases, pneumonia, however I am perfectly well and healthy,” Mr Lilo said.
He added that those circulating the rumours must be ‘sick in their minds’ adding that none of such was true.
Mr Lilo meanwhile called upon all Solomon Islanders to take care of their health amidst the many diseases and illnesses circulating the country currently.
