AS of Monday morning the lockdown curfew will be lifted at 8am and to be reimposed at 5pm.
Secretary to Prime Minister (SPM) Dr Jimmy Rodgers announced this during Sunday’s talk-back show.
Initially, the lockdown curfew was from 6pm Saturday to 9am Sunday and then was imposed on 3pm this afternoon.
But after having consultation by the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) the Oversight Committee has agreed that the curfew will be lifted at 8am this morning and then ceases at 5pm.
It will continue until it is revoked by the Oversight Committee.
He said this is to allow all businesses and staff to move from their homes to their place of work and return.
