THE Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Manasseh Maelanga has clarified claims made against him about the last minute assistance to the constituency.
Last week a number of constituents have questioned the support rendered to the constituency in the form of roofing iron.
Some claimed its part of his campaigning moves.
But in a statement last week at Gwounafau village in East Kwara’ae, Malaita province said the help was not campaigning but part of his ongoing help to the constituency.
“To see this as part of campaigning is quite unbelievable,” Mr Maelanga said.
He explained that those roofing irons are part of the ongoing housing scheme project that was distributed to the constituency starting last year.
“Its an idea that cannot be stopped until we have no grants for it or lose power to fulfil the plans. But our long term plan here is to supply roofing iron and materials to every household in the constituency to improve your standard of living,” he said.
Mr Maelanga urged all constituents who have complaints or doubts about the project to personally see him about their doubts.
“Its not time to keep complains in your mind otherwise it will spoil you.
“If you have any doubts please come forward and lets fix it together to clarify your minds,” he stated.
