Leader of the Parliamentary Independent Group has described the proposed trip by Prime Minister (PM) to Malaita, Friday for the province’s second appointed day celebration, Friday as a visit with empty promises.
Expressing his disappointment yesterday Manasseh Maelanga MP for East Kwara’ae described Sogavare’s trip as; “an empty visit full of false promises.”
Mr Maelanga stressed the government had failed the people of Malaita because all his promises to them never shows any signs of progress, seeing that this year is about to end but nothing happens.
“What will the PM tell the people of Malaita,” he asked. “He is wasting millions on consultancy work done by the Political Appointees, but nothing happens,” he added.
He further stated that government has nothing left to tell Malaita people since all their promises ended up nowhere, while million dollars just disappeared in thin air.
He added government is losing its sense, hence doing things out of its policy that only reflects hopelessness and corruptions breeds from their self-serving decisions.
