DEPUTY Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for East Malaita, Manasseh Maelanga has rubbished claims by Opposition Leader Mathew Wale that the Democratic Coalition Government for Advancement (DCGA) is working to overthrow the Suidani-led Malaita Provincial Government.
Wale made the allegation on SIBC’s current affairs program yesterday, saying the DCGA is funding the resignation of Ministers from the Suidani-led Government.
But Deputy Prime Minister Maelanga said those allegations were empty rhetoric that has no truth in them.
He said Wale, as a senior politician should not mislead the public with mere assumptions or half-cooked stories when Malaitan leaders are trying to address their leadership issues.
“Obviously Wale is thriving on the Malaita Provincial Government saga to score political points against the rigid DCGA. It is his right to express his views but he will never reduce by an inch the solidarity and popularity of the DCGA,” Maelanga said.
Maelanga also challenged those that continue to accuse him of meddling in the MARA saga to stop misleading people and warned that those people will be dealt with at an appropriate time.
