As a lead-up to the peace celebrations this week, the YOSI magazine editorial team are calling on young writers, photographers and artists to contribute to the upcoming Peace Issue.
The next issue have the theme of “The Peace Issue: Young people uniting for a better future.” Young people are encouraged to write, take photos or create art and design about peace and focus on the future they want.
The next issue the magazine is being created in partnership with UNDP’s Peacebuilding Fund. This issue is a chance for young people to come out and talk about peace, encouraging others to work together and create a space where we can all be positive about our future and not hold back on our chance to be part of a good cause.
Young people can contribute their writing, photography and art to the magazine. Articles in the magazine will include stories on topics like cultural and national Identity, law and order, inequality, land and resources, corruption and other issues on a level that young people can relate to.
YOSI Magazine has been an avenue for young people to voice out their concerns, encourage youth to push forward despite barriers that may seem impossible, work hard to achieve their dreams and be positive about their perspective in life and doing something outside of the trend.
Moreover it is a chance for young people to have their say, share their talent and inspire other young people. It has been a success for the team which has come from a collective effort by both the editorial team and the young contributors who have contributed from the last five collections.
The recent issue YOSI five is out now with the theme: “Narawei young people driving change,” highlights the boldness that young people are encouraged to take up and do something different and beneficial to everyone that is around them.
