The Central Magistrate Court is currently investigating the controversial Certificate of No Appeal issued to the Ministry of Lands to facilitate land registration by Asia Pacific Investment Development (APID) on Rennell Island.
This was confirmed after Deputy Chief Magistrate directed his officers to inform the media about the controversial matter arising between his two magistrates.
The magistrate officer relayed the information from the Deputy Chief stating that they will wait for the Chief Magistrate Emanuel Kouhota to return back from Auckland this week to have a say on this issue.
The officer stated that Deputy Chief is aware of this, thus pursuing investigation at this time and will make any decision later to be conveyed in the media, once consultation with the Chief Magistrate permits them to do so.
Commissioner of Lands while contacted yesterday denied receiving any revocation letter from the Principal Magistrate.
