THE Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) has announced the commencement dates for the three major leagues in Honiara this year.
These are the Super Football league (SFL), formerly known as Telekom Super League (TSL), SIFF Super Futsal League (SSFL) and the Solrais Women’s Premier League (SWPL).
The SIFF Competition Department confirmed in a statement earlier last week that the Super Football League (SFL) will commence on April 16, the SIFF Super Futsal League (SSFL) on February 22 and the Solrais Women’s Premier League (SWPL) on March 22.
Two weeks into 2025, clubs and teams have started preparations for the new SFL, SSFL and SWPL seasons after the completion of the 2024 season and the festive season break.
The SSFL will kick off on February 22 after the completion of its pre-season tournament, which is scheduled to run from February 10 to 15.
The SWPL 2025 season will kick off in March, while the SFL 2025 season will commence on April 16.
The SIFF Competition Department confirmed that at the moment, applications for the three major competitions are open for clubs and teams to apply for a spot and certain requirements must be met.
