MAKIRA Ulawa finished top of group B in the Solomon Cup tournament.
Makira Ulawa defeated Temotu Arrows 2-1 at Lawson Tama yesterday to sit at the top of group B with nine points.
They led with a goal at first half before scoring the second later in the second half along with Temotu Arrow’s only goal.
Yesterday’s matches confirmed the teams that have made it to the Solomon Cup semi finals, set for tomorrow Thursday December 8th at Lawson Tama Stadium.
The teams so far are Renebl IBIS, Guadalcanal Hornets and Makira Ulawa.
Renbel and Guadalcanal were the first two teams to confirm their placement in the semi finals.
Both teams topped group A with seven points each with Guadalcanal finishing top of the group with the goal difference advantage.
Group B confirmed their top two teams following yesterday’s final group matches which saw Real Kakamora finished top with nine points.
The final match result between Malaita and Lauru Kuvojo saw Malaita thrashing Lauru Kuvojo by 8-1.
The first semi final match is for 12pm and second semi finals at 3pm.
The third and fourth playoff and grand final matches will be held on Saturday December 10th at Lawson Tama.
