FORMER U14 Iumi Plei Champions, Makira Ulawa U14 boys and girls U14 teams are eyeing to win this year’s Solomon Power Iumi Plei U14 Championship title.
Makira Ulawa Football Association (MUFA) Yoth Development Officer and Iumi Plei Coordinator, Dickson Wa’o said both the girls and boys U14 teams are eyeing to win the respective titles after failing to do so in the previous U14 championship last year.
“We have finalized the girls and boys teams.
“The aim for both teams is to win the Iumi Plei U14 Championship that will be held in Honiara,” he said.
Wa’o said the current teams comprises of former U14 and new players.
The MUFA U14 teams have made history in 2021, winning both the boys and girls U14 titles.
Last year only the girls U14 maintained their supremacy, winning the 2022 U14 girls title.
MUFA U14 boys did not manage to reach the finals.
The girls’ team is coached by Charles Taniro and the boys team will be led by Greg Nimanima.
