Malaita Provincial delegation to participate in the Premiers conference in Honiara arrived in the capital yesterday.
The one week conference officially starts tomorrow.
The delegation is led by Premier Peter Channel Ramohia and his Provincial Secretary Rodney Fono.
It includes the full Executive members of the Provincial Government.
Premier Ramohia said the conference gives a good opportunity for members of his Executive to observe the level of debate the provincial premiers discuss and share ideas on how to lead and develop their respective provinces.
Premier Ramohia said at the end of the premier’s conference his executive expects to hold further meetings with members of Parliament from Malaita.
He said his executive wants to share its views with the national leaders of Malaita Province on how they could bring development to their province.
Ramohia said members of his executive will meet their own sea fares from Auki to Honiara and back while the provincial Government will meet their accommodation expenses in Honiara.
The conference is jointly hosted by Guadalcanal Provincial Government and Honiara city council.
Malaita Provincial will host the premier’s conference in 2017.
