MALAITA Provincial government direct employees engaged as Front-line workers in the province made a final call to the national government and head of the Malaita Province Health Authority to clarify their Covid-19 allowances.
These employees were informed that they were part of front-line workers to receive Covid-19 allowance from the government.
However, they have learned that only seconded staffs working at the provincial government have received their Covid-19 allowances while they have nothing.

“Without us these seconded-staff cannot delivered the full force of responsibility exercise the government’s covid 19 policies and safe life of people during the height of Covid-19.”
“We are not happy after we have learned that only seconded-staff receive Covid-19 front line allowance while the direct employees who part of the team are not considered.”
“This is an unfair treatment to as.” The spokesperson said.
The spokesperson calls on the Ministry of Health and Medical Service and Malaita province Health Authority to clarify the concern and doubt on the Covid-19 frontline allowances.
He said they are preparing to submit a letter of concern to the head of the Malaita province health Authority.
