THE Malaita Full Assembly Meeting for the original budget 2023-2024 is scheduled for Monday next week.
The Malaita Provincial Speaker, Ronnie Butala, confirmed this in a notice put up for the meeting.
The Provincial Public Accounts Committee PPAC is currently scrutinising the budget ahead of the meeting next week.
The notice put up by Speaker Butala stated, “The Honorable Premier and his full Executive have requested pursuant to Standing Orders 58 and 60 that notice is hereby given to the public for the Malaita Provincial Assembly to have its next full Assembly Meeting on the 27th of March 2023 at 9:00am.”
“The meeting is urgent to discuss and pass the Original Budget 2023-2024 Appropriation Bill 2023, before 31st of March 2023.”
