A TEAM from the Malaita Public Account Committee PAC is currently visiting and assessing the Provincial Capacity Development Fund PDCF projects in northern region of Malaita.
The team expect to visit, Taeloa market, Folotana coconut crushing mill, Fo’ondo school and sanitation, Manakwai school Classroom, Arnon Atomea PSS Classroom,Sulufoloa Market,Gounatolo Clinic and Manaoba clinic projects.
These PCDF projects were implemented by the Malaita Provincial government in the current 2022-2023 budget.
Vice chairman of Malaita Province public account committee Ivan Tonafalea explains the Provincial Public account committee is a mandatory committee in the provincial assembly responsible to visit and assess the provincial capacity projects implemented in the province.
He said the assessment have started on Sunday 21st and expect to end on Thursday this week.
He said the committee will compile a report and recommendation to the provincial executive regarding the projects.
“The purpose of the visit is to see the PCDF projects and talk with the constructors and responsible people and to see what are the challenges and observation of the community about the projects.” Mr Tonafalea said.
The team was led by the PAC chairman Martin Fini
The PAC team has already visited PCDF project in southern region as part of their assessment to PDCF projects in Malaita.
