Malaita provincial premier Peter Shanel Ramohia praises United Nation Development Program (UNDP) by working together with the Ministry of National Unity Reconciliation Peace (MNURP) through their generous support towards the national psychiatric unit of Solomon Islands base at Kilu’ufi, Malaita province.
During the handing over of the equipment to the psychiatric unit yesterday Mr Ramohia saluted the two development partners for their generousity towards the national unit.
“As a premier for Malaita province I see UNDP is playing an important role through donating the equipment as a development partner in the country.
“I thanked the MNURP for initiating these donations especially for the mentally ill patients here at Kilu’ufi.”
He also added that with that it is a challenge for his government to support this kind of institute not to rely on the national government for assistance.
“So I urge you staff of the psychiatric unit at Kilu’ufi to look after this very important equipment which cost a lot of money to purchase them,” Mr Ramohia said.
