THE Malaita’s new premier Peter Chanel Ramohia has confirmed his deputy premier on Tuesday and he is Alick Maeaba.
Mr Maeaba is a provincial member for ward 29 and was the deputy premier in the Suibaea led government last term.
He is not a new man to the post.
On Monday this week premier Ramohia appointed him (Maeaba) for the post after a consultations held to choose between Maeaba and Malcolm Moli.
Meanwhile, Alick Maeaba was sworn in yesterday with the only female member Rose Liata for as the Minister for community health and medical services.
Maeaba said he is satisfied with the post and hope to make some differences this term.
Although his past government was smeared a non-productive government he said the cooperation from the new lot will make a difference.
He told his colleagues on Monday that he will work closely with the new premier and the executive to move the province forward.
Premier Ramohia said that he is satisfied with his executive and hope they will move Malaita province forward this round.
