Malaita Province will today mark its 36th second appointed day in Auki.
The event will be commemorated based on the theme “Self –Reliance and Community Resilience.”
Invited guests from Honiara have already arrived in Auki for the Malaita Second Appointed Day celebration.
The official opening of the program will start at 8:30am with a protocol ceremony with the police escort at APS field.
This will be the first Malaita Provincial Second Appointed Day celebration lead by the new Premier Daniel Suidani and the new Provincial Secretary (PS) Fredrick Fa’abasua.
Apart from the official program, there are planned sporting activities scheduled for the day like fun run, canoe race, futsal, netball and rugby 7s.
Malaita people are encouraged to come together and celebrate 36th Second Appointed Day at APS field today and to involve in many sporting activities planned for the day.
