MALAITA Provincial Government will launch its much awaited policy strategic statement next month.
The policy statement dubbed ‘Malaita Alliance of Reform and Transformation’ (MART) was supposed to be launched this Friday. However, it was now deferred to March 12.
A change of date happened following a request by the Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare to attend the launching program.
Malaita Premier Peter Ramohia said, the change is timely and hopefully it will not affect any activities in the work plan for this year.
Ramohia added that it is important that PM Sogavare attends the launching because some of the development plans are linked with the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) government’s policy statement.
“We have finished its translation and it has been printed into copy forms for all departments awaiting for the launching program next month.
“The policy statement hopefully will direct Malaita province to reach its goals for this term.”
