THE Malaita Provincial Government has acknowledged the Australian Government for initiating the Australia Pacific Technical College (APTC) which the province has benefited from.
Acting premier Joe Heroau uttered this during the APTC graduation held at Hotel Malaita in Auki, Wednesday.
Twenty-one early childhood teachers graduated during the ceremony.
“First of all, on behalf of the Malaita provincial government, I’d like to congratulate and acknowledge the Australian government for providing the initiative to assist Pacific islands men and women to gain training excellence, especially in the program of Early Childhood Education (ECE) and to upgrade to the Australia standard skill and qualification which Malaita is one of the beneficiaries,” Mr Heroau said.
He said the APTC graduation was a great achievement for the Malaita provincial government through its education authority.
Mr Heroau said Malaita is committed and will continue to support and work in collaboration to ensure other social and economic training programmes under APTC reach the province.
