Malaita Provincial Premier Daniel Suidani has appealed to all Malaitans for a united stand to see God’s divine intervention and protection through prayer in light of the growing threat from the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a message, Mr. Suidani urges fellow Malaitans to pray at least three days a week before doing their work.
“In your prayers remember those countries affected by the deadly coronavirus and for divine protection over the country in this time of uncertainty.
“Pray before you do your work as we face a period of uncertainty ahead of us.”
The premier said the virus is getting out of control and while health authorities and workers are doing their best to keep the deadly virus out of the country, Christians should also take time to commit themselves to pray to heal the broken hearts that have lost their loved ones and family members in the fight against coronavirus.
“I urged all Malaitans to pray each morning on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before doing your work.
“Pray for divine protection and healing,” he said.
The Premier said Malaita is founded on prayer and therefore all Malaitans must stand together to pray for healing and protection.
