A PROPOSED Vector Borne Disease Control Program (MVBDCP) survey that supposed to be conducted last year is scheduled to start next month.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) and Vector Borne Disease Control Program (MVBDCP) organised the survey for all provinces except for Rennel and Bellona Province.
Malaria indicator survey coordinator Charles Ghambu said they postponed the survey to February to coincide with the wet season when mosquitoes breed.
“February is in the wet season so it would be a good time to carry out the survey,” Mr Ghambu said.
The survey is to help authorities understand well the malaria situation in the country.
Mr Ghambu said preparation for the survey on track.
He said the survey includes blood tests.
