LEADER of Opposition and Member of Parliament for Kia-Hograno-Havulei constituency Jeremiah Manele welcomes the petition lodged against him by former MP Selwyn Riumana.
While he welcomes the petition, Mr Manele said he would be undertaking an audit of all the constituency funds for the last eight years.
“The audit would be to verify how and where the funds intended for people were disbursed in the past years by Mr Riumana.
Mr Manele said he also want to start on a clean sheet to bring about benefits and make a difference to the lives of the people in his constituency.
“I have nothing to fear and I want to make a difference to the lives of my people,” he said.
The two termed former MP Mr Riumana has lodged an election petition against Mr Manele after the former MP lost his seat in last year’s National General Elections.
