THE Marina Easyline Shipping Company has informed the public that its passenger vessel MV Marina 2 is undergoing maintenance.
The shipping company posted the public announcement on its facebook page on Monday.
After making her scheduled trip to the Western Province this week, Marina 2 went to the Noro Slipway for maintenance.
“…all travelling passengers and customers to the Western Province, our company would like to let you know that MV Marina 2 is under maintenance at Noro Slipway,” the public notice stated.
The public notice stated that the company will inform the public when the vessel will resume its normal service and apologised for any inconvenience the short notice about the vessel undergoing maintenance may cause.
Marina 2 is providing the shipping services on the Honiara-Gizo route, making travelling affordable and convenient.
Many passengers have applauded Marina 2 for its excellent passenger and cargo transport services.
The passenger had been busy providing shipping services during the peak festive season.
With the absence of Marina 2, only Fair Lady and Pelican 1 are currently serving the Western Province.
