QQQ Marist men’s basketball team still maintains their position as leaders of the Namson Tran Basketball competition after defeating a strong MMTM side at the Multipurpose Hall on Sunday.
Marist finished off the match with a two point difference 35-33.
Fully equipped with most of their players, Marist put in all efforts to make it past the determined MMTM side who kept close in points in every quarter.
With the help of Wage Turueke’s three points shooting and the height advantage Marist led all quarters.
MMTM played well with the return of key player known as Friendly Giant who missed out on Thursday’s match against Bullets.
MMTM has been very impressive in all of their matches since their first match last weekend.
They won their opening match against the U19 select side last weekend but were unfortunate to maintain their wining form in their recent match which saw them finish with six points behind Western Bullets on Thursday.
Marist now sits on top of the ladder with four wins out of five matches played while Bullets sits on second and Travel Blazers on third.
MMTM sits on fifth spot with one win and two losses.
