PORT MORESBY, (LOOP VANUATU) —Four players from Hekari United Football Club have been signed by Marist Football Club of the Solomon Islands.
The four are Tommy Semmy (striker), Daniel Joe (right back), Koriak Upaiga (left back) and David Muta (central midfield).
They will play for their new club in the Telekom S-League in Honiara.
The S-League is a semi-professional soccer league and is the top division of the Solomon Islands Football Federation.
The four players departed for the Solomon Islands on Sunday.
Marist FC were the winners of the 2006/2007 Solomon Islands National Club Championship and went on to qualify for the Oceania Club Championship in New Zealand.
