CASES of measles in Malaita are reportedly going down.
Kilu’ufi Hospital infection control department nurse in charge, Nixom Olofisau revealed this.
“In previous months, we’ve been recording 70-80 cases each week, but now it dropped to 30-40 cases,” Mr Olofisau said.
“So cases are going down but no eliminated,” he said.
Meanwhile, he urged those who are yet to get a vaccination to go to the nearest clinic.
Mr Olifisau said Kilu’ufi Hospital now introduces central vaccination site purposely to cater for those who missed out during the campaign.
“This means that if any one who came in for health service, but knows that he or she does not vaccinated, he or she may take the opportunity to get vaccinated.”
