A one day media seminar organised by Catholic Communication Solomons for members of Holy cross ministries was completed successfully at the Catholic communication apartment on Saturday.
The seminar was attended by more than fifteen members of different ministries of the Holy Cross cathedral and was conducted by the staff of the Catholic Communication Solomons (CCS).
The seminar focused mainly on negative and positive aspects of technology and trained members on writing articles using the 5 W’s and 1 H (who, what, when, where, why and how) and on how to record audio and produced video in different shot sizes.
Speaking during the seminar director of the catholic communication, Sister Sesilia Sala said communication is vital in our lifestyle with every changing and new communication equipments being produced everyday.
She added that technology can affect us in both positive and negative ways and at the same time technology is a Gift from God.
“We used our cell phone, computer and other tools of communication to communicate to our friends and relatives from where we lived in the world,” said Sr Sala.
Meanwhile senior staff member of CCS, Mr Joe Vidiki, also trained members on how to use a camera to produce quality photos and video as well as recording voices in different programs. “Photos are very important when working with cameras,” said Mr Vidiki, “the best photos help viewers to understand what messages you are trying to clarify.”
He then acknowledged the members for their presence and concentration during the seminar.
