MINISTRY of Education and Human Resources Development (MEHRD) will advise the public when the results are ready.
The assurance came after many students, teachers, parents, guardians and the public are anticipating the release of the placement results for forms 4, 6 and 7.
Placement results for year 7 (form 1) were the first to be released by the ministry at Christmas Eve – 24th December 2024.
However, with start of the 2025 academic year in two weeks time, many parents and students are anxious about the results to prepare for the 2025 academic year.
But in a brief statement a media spokesperson for the ministry said, “we will provide update once the school results are ready.”
This morning – Wednesday 8th January 2025, the ministry said it anticipates to release the results next week.
Speaking exclusively to SBMOnline on Wednesday, Deputy Secretary of Education Linda Wate, who is overseeing the exams for the three examinable forms, said: “The identified date for release of National Examination results is Monday 13th January, 2025. MEHRD is working towards meeting this date to release all national examination results.”
However, she added, they would advise the public if they are unable to meet the date.
“We will advise if we are not able to meet this date,” she said.
Its understood many students and parents want the results to be released soon to allow them time to prepare for registrations.
Under the Education Act 2023, all classes will commence straight away on Monday 20th January.
Because of this many schools will commence their registration next week.
Under the Act, schools are not allowed to conduct any registration during the weekend commencing 20th January.
So far many school administrations have advised students, parents and guardians about the dates for registration.
