DESPITE the 60 hours lock-down declared for the emergency zone in Honiara in light of the COVID-19 transmission, a number of cognitive impaired persons were spotted and continue to roam the streets of Honiara.
Solomon Star workers heading to work this morning saw three cognitive impaired-persons in separate locations were walking freely through the deserted city streets.
This is not the first for these mentally retarded persons to walk through the city’s street in a lockdown.
During the previous mock lockdown in the city over the two years, a number of them have been spotted walking freely through the streets.
But nothing was done to arrest them given their unsound mind and status.
However, in light of the community transmission concerns are being raised over their health status should they contract the virus.
The lock down will be lifted early Saturday morning.
