THE Malaita Football Association (MFA) annual congress has ended in Auki last Friday at the Mala motel conference room, Malaita province.
Speaking during the closing of the congress MFA president Eddie Omokirio thanked all the participants for their time and effort during the past two days.
He said, all the member associations have presented positive information from last years reports and and their 2016 action programs.
He added that during the congress they emphasis most on management and governance.
“We also try to understand and work together a way of how to channel informations and resources.”
Omokirio also stated that the congress also cleared doubts that some associations need clarifications from MFA and SIFF in terms of football developments in the province.
He revealed that he is looking forward for working together with his member associations along this year to improve football in their associations and to keep football alive in our province.
Speaking onbehalf of the participants’ president of Lau/baelelea football association and former national player Jason Damiri said, their aim to attend congress is to get information and try to benefit through football developments.
“It is a great opportunity that we have this congress that we have benefited most through receiving information and sharing.”
He said, they are at a crucial time that they need these characters to rise youths in improving soccer in our rural areas.
“Our product effort should bring good and better products,” Damiri said.
