Dear Editor – I understand that the High Court of Solomon Islands has recently handed down its decision in a case involving a group of landowners who had challenged the legality of their land being acquired for mining purposes.
In fact it was not a decision but rather the High Court judge in the said case had disallowed proceeding with the application based on some time limit imposed on litigation of cases in the court.
The Appeals Court recently handed down its decision in a similar case on Isabel.
I wonder whether your paper could publish the full content of judgment on the Rennell mining for public scrutiny as you did in others.
As it is, it looks fishy.
