Dear Editor – The Hon. Prime Minister must either sack the Minister of Mines or relegate him to dungeon whichever is quicker. Whereas everyone else might be doing it, they had brains to hide what they are doing.
One wonders whether he has any or something that resembles one.
He has brought a public office entrusted to him into disrepute therefore he must go.
Mr. Prime Minister, removing him from the Ministry will do service to the industry that rely on the proper functioning of that Ministry. The next position to look at is the post of Permanent Secretary. How is the incumbent qualified?
He is a lawyer and no one can dispute that. However he does not have the management expertise let alone a government Ministry or knowledge of the industry or industries he is tasked to oversee from that vantage point.
Lets agree on one point- that Management and Law or legal studies are two different animals altogether.
Therefore to treat them as if they are one and the same thing is not unlike someone wearing the “kings robe” and thats what it appears, alot of people in the Ministry had been wearing for a longtime. Getting rid of these two people is the first necessary step to take inorder to clean up that place for the benefit of everyone.
