THE Women’s Division within the Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs together with the Honiara City Council are preparing to co-host the International Women’s Day this year.
Spokesperson Sarah Buka told the Solomon Star yesterday the annual event will be celebrated on March 8th this year.
“We will meet this coming Friday to set up a committee to head the programme,” Ms Buka said.
She said the programme is for women in the country to come together to celebrate their achievements.
She added that it is important for women in the country to take note of this event and prepare for it.
“It is our time to come together reflect on all our achievements throughout the year.”
