AS the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant is only a matter of four weeks away, some of the contestants who have confirmed their participation have expressed their anticipation to showcase their national cultures during the weeklong event in Honiara.
The contestants shared their excitement in their posts on social media.
Miss Solomon Islands Elsie Polosovai shared her excitement about Solomon Islands hosting the event.
“How exciting is it that Solomon Islands will proudly host the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2025 right here on home soil?
“With this event only four weeks away, let’s get ready to celebrate and showcase our unique and beauty to the Pacific and beyond,” Miss Polosovai said.
Miss Bird of Paradise (PNG), May Torrowi Hasola expressed that she is truly humbled and honored to represent her country.
“I look forward to embarking on this journey and experiencing the different cultures and traditions of our Pacific Islands.
“With this year’s theme Leadership in Diversity and Adversity, this pageant is a celebration of culture, beauty and the powerful voices of Pacific Women. I am truly grateful to be part of it,” Miss Hasola said.
The Miss Kiribati 2024 committee also shared their excitement about Miss Kiribati contesting for the Miss Pacific Islands tittle and crown.
“Kiribati, this is our moment! Let’s stand together and show the world the pride, strength and resilience of our beloved nation.
“Our stunning Miss Kiribati, Kimberly Tokanang Aromata is preparing to represent us at the prestigious beauty pageant in the Solomon Islands.
“This is not a contest- it’s a stage where she will carry our hopes, our culture and our dreams to shine among the Pacific’s best.
“The road ahead is challenging, with contestants from nations that are wealthier and more resourceful. But what they have in resources, we have in heart,” the committee said.
The other four contestants who will be participating in this year’s Miss Pacific Islands Pageant are Miss American Samoa, 25-year- old Pauliana Felise-Vitale, Miss Nauru, 21-year-old Charlei Andrianna Deiye, Miss Samoa, 24-year-old Litara Ieremia-Allan and Miss Tonga, 27-year-old Racheal Guttenbeil.
The event will be proudly hosted by Solomon Islands after winning the bid to host it in 2024. This is the second time Solomon Islands will be hosting the event. The first time it hosted the event was in 2013.
