Miss Samoa, Latafale Auva’a, is the Miss Pacific Islands 2014 and 2015.
The 21-year-old Ms. Auva’a was crowned by the outgoing Miss South Pacific, Teuira Napa, at Tuana’imato on December 20th last year where the pageant was held.
The Otago University student overcame competition from seven other contestants to secure the title.
And in doing so, she won the best Talent, best Interview, best Sarong and best Traditional wear.
The Miss Internet Award went to Miss Nauru, Miss Personality went to Miss Niue, Miss Photogenic was secured by Miss Fiji while Miss American Samoa won the National Tourism award.
In the end, Papua New Guinea claimed the 4th runner up position, Miss American Samoa was the third runner up, Miss Fiji was the second runner up while Miss Cook Islands was the first runner up.
Eleven pacific islands countries participated in the Miss Pacific Islands pageant last year, Solomon Islands missed out from the pageant.
