MISS Solomon Islands, Elsie Polovai has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the people of Solomon Islands for their unwavering support throughout her pageant journey.
Ms Polosovai, who was the third runner-up in this prestigious regional competition, took to social media shortly after the event concluded last Saturday night to share her appreciation.
“Thank you so much, Solomon Islands, for coming out and supporting me and all the girls. I look forward to continuing my journey as your Miss Solomon Islands,” she said.
She won the best float parade award.
Ms Polosovai spoke on the topic of education in her pre-pageant speech last Thursday.
She underscored education as a pathway to resilience innovation and sustainable development and should be protected and embraced for the betterment of the blue Pacific Ocean.
“Hearing you all shout and cheer for me tonight means the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am still your Miss Solomon Islands,” she said after the crowning night event.
The pageant concluded with Miss Samoa Litara Ieremia-Allan as the new Miss Pacific Islands 2025.
The First Runner-Up was Miss Tonga, followed by Miss American Samoa in second place and Miss Polosovai in third. The fourth runner-up was Miss Cook Islands.
The newly crowned Miss Pacific Islands, Litara will serve as a regional ambassador, dedicated to promoting Pacific values and fostering cultural exchange over the next year. Notably, Fiji did not participate in this year’s pageant, but is set to host the competition next year.
