THE Police investigation team had questioned the wife of the prime suspect in connection to the cash stolen from the LGZ shop in Townground, West Honiara, it was revealed.
Information reaching this paper claimed the investigation team this week questioned the wife of the second suspect – Raymond Koeta, in Auki in relation to the missing cash.
However, information of whether police had recovered any sum of money from her is not yet clear at this stage.
Its nearly four days now after the successful apprehension of the wanted suspect but police are yet to recover the looted cash.
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) office in Auki yesterday confirmed to this paper that they are yet to make any break through into the stolen cash.
The Auki operational commander Timothy Apaesi said the stolen cash is yet to be recovered, adding, police are still continuing with their investigation to find out the where about of the stolen cash.
Meanwhile, police has called on the general public to come forward and help police with its investigation to help locate the missing cash which was believed to have been removed from the crime scene by the two wanted suspects who are both in police custody.
