MALAITA Ma’asina Forum (MMF) has warned the Opposition Leader Jeremiah Manele to stand firm and not give in to political manipulation especially by the recently resigned Ministers of the Government.
President of MMF Charles Dausabea appealed to the Opposition Leader not to give in easily to be manipulated by former government Ministers who have resigned from the Government whom he accused as having forced Mr Manele to lodge a no confidence motion against Prime Minister Sogavare.
Mr Dausabea warned the Opposition Leader that he should not allow his credibility as potential future political leader to be jargonised by disorganised parliamentarians grass-hopping across the floor of parliament.
The former Member of Parliament for East Honiara Constituency accused the resigned Ministers as pursuing personal agendas to fill up their own pockets instead of serving national interests.
Mr Dausabea said it is quite obvious for anyone to tell from the current political turmoils that the resignation by the Ministers was a clear attempt to betray the DCCG under the leadership of Prime Minister Sogavare.
He said their departure in defect from the Government does not guarantee forming a new government of any reputable degree let alone their bad attitude of grass-hopping to where the grass is green and yielding.
The MFF boss warned the Opposition Leader and the public at large to analyse the real core issues pertaining to the political rifts within the Government.
He said Parliament need to address genuine issues of national interest not perceived by a few parliamentarians with selfish personal interests.
Mr Dausabea said the best option forward is to allow DCCG to accomplish its business of leading this nation until the end of its tenure ship.
