THE Royal Solomon Islands Police (RSIPF) Professional Standards and Internal Investigations (PSII) has concluded its investigation into the sexual harassment allegation against Malaita’s new Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Lesley Kili.
The Police Media Unit confirmed this recently.
“The sexual allegation investigation against Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province has been completed by Professional Standard Internal Investigation (PSII),” an officer from the Police Media Unit said.
However, the officer added that PSII requires some additional evidence to be collected before consideration will be made thereafter in terms of legal and administrative actions to be taken next.
“The matter is still investigated and therefore the details of the finding will not be provided until actual action is taken.”
PPC Kili was accused of sexually harassing some female police officers under his command by
sending photographs of his private body parts and sending them dirty jokes.
The story was published on this paper following a tip-off by a member of the public.
The reports of the sexual harassment had been sent to the Office of the Police Commissioner who then referred the matter to the PSII for investigation.
