Rebelle Inc management is eyeing another international artist early next year following their successive and successful shows of international artist.
They said the most successful one was the Konckara show at the Cow Boys Grill last weekend.
“What makes the show more successful was that our local boys had a change to interact and perform with the Jamaican sensational Reggae artist in his world tour,” the management said.
“That was the whole aim of getting international artists here, to get our local artists to learn from them.
“Our local artists, the likes of Jag Boy, Rebel Riddim Band, 56 Hop Road, Jag, Dezine, and Jeeno had gained confidence by perfuming with Konkara, as well a video clip he featured with the 56 Hop Road that will soon to be released next month.”
Asked about what makes the difference between indoors and out door shows, the management said it’s much safer to perform indoors than outdoors.
“We know that the public, especially families in Honiara are interested to take time out for outdoor shows, but we have learned from the Ali Campbell and Julian Marley shows.
“Surely we’ll host an outdoor show, but we will look for a safe location like the Rove Field.”
Rebelle Inc said that it’s about high time the country implements is copy right law as Solomon Islands Music Industry is slowly gaining popularity.
“Responsible authority must be serious in implementing the Solomon Islands Copy Right law to be stronger and tougher as our local music is slowly gaining popularity.
“We also need performing Rights Organisation PRO to oversee the SI music Industry.”
