Nine projects under US for Malaita
The Malaita Provincial Premier Daniel Suidani wasted no time as he announced nine projects that will be implemented under the US SCALE program in Malaita Province.
He revealed the projects during arrival back in Auki on Monday.
Of the nine projects; seven of them are small scale projects, while two are major scale projects.
Premier Suidani who attracted thousands of Malaitans during his arrival said the US SCALE program is now on the ground in Malaita and told the public not to listen to rumors that try to downplay the US SCALE program in Malaita.
The premier announced seven small scale projects under the US SCALE program as follows; Multi warehousing, Taro Processing Facility, Livestock Mini-feed Mill, Fishery Storage, Kava Processing Facility, Cocoa Solar Processing and Coconut Mill.
The two major large scale projects are; Bonale Pineapple manufacturing and Luaniua Ontong Java wharf.
The premier said if Malaitans continue to stand united, it will continue to receive good things.
Suidani quickly thanked the Malaita Provincial Government and administration for bringing the USAID to Malaita Province.
“Nothing is impossible if Malaitans continue to have one mind and one goal which is to develop Malaita for the good of the current and future generation.”
When announcing the projects, Premier Suidani also responded to critics that said Malaita is behind in development and is missing out in major development. “Malaita is slowly healing as development is heading its way.”
With that, the Premier said the day of unity is here, the day for good things are here and encourages Malaitans to stand together and struggle as one brothers and sisters for the good of Malaita.
