ONE of the communities in Ward 2 of Central Kwara’ae Constituency in Malaita Province received assistance from the Provincial Assembly Member (MPA) for Aimela (Ward 2), Benjamin Baetalua this week.
The Chairman of the Ward 2 Development Committee, Paul Patrick Suakini officially handed a 150-metre roll of polypipe worth $6,000 to the Chairman of Mt Zion Community, David White on Sunday January purposely for their community water supply rehabilitation project.
In his remarks, Mr Suakini said that this project is one of the ongoing projects in the 2023/2024 annual work plan and is highly prioritised because it will benefit the entire Mt Zion community and the surrounding communities within Aimela Ward.
Mr White, in turn, expressed appreciation to the Aimela Ward Development Committee along with the Provincial Assembly member for Ward, MPA Baetalua for ‘such a great help.’
Mr White said the community looks forward to welcoming more of such valuable assistance in the near future.
