Local fashion shop ‘Fashion De Hapi Isles’ (FDHI) will soon be importing fashion products from Samoa later this year.
Managing director Peterson Boso in an interview yesterday said he has been in contact with a shop in Samoa to import some of the fashion products there such as clothes.
He said a deal is expected to be sealed with the company in August.
“In August I should receive the first products from Samoa while sealing the deal.
“I know Samoa is a country which have good clothing design which suits Solomon Islands,”Mr Boso said.
He said he wants to get Samoan fashion products since Solomon Island is a now tourism hotspot.
“Solomon Island is tourism country and we need cloths that would reflect our islands.
“Today our people wear cloths which do not reflect our country.
“Therefore since we are making a deal with this Samoa company, it would help our citizen to reflect our identity as truly Solomon Islanders and Hapi Isles,” he said.
Currently Fashion De Hapi Isles has a deal with three commercial cloths factory in FiJi which supplies cloths for its shop in Honiara which is located at Anthony Saru Building, Point Cruz.
