THE Central Kwara’ae Constituency (CKC) office has embarked on its first-ever constituency tour last week, marking a significant milestone since taking office.
This initiative reflects the CKC’s commitment to engage with communities and discuss the roles and responsibilities of the constituency in serving the people of Central Kwara’ae.
The tour was led by Ricky Fuo’o, the newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Central Kwara’ae.
The CKC team visited several communities, including Busufoosae, Arabala Aisalinga, Maoro, Kunugwaugwau, and Aisalinga, where they met with local leaders and residents in Ward Two (2) of the constituency.
Community leaders expressed their gratitude for the visits.
John Kala, Chairman of Busufoosae Community High School, conveyed heartfelt thanks on behalf of the communities, noting that this was the first visit from a Member of Parliament during his term.
“Today, we are proud to say that we have a leader who prioritizes us,” Mr. Kala remarked.
Chief Abisia from Anoasa echoed similar sentiment, commending the constituency team for their engagement.
“We are fortunate to have such a young, energetic, and visionary leader who truly values his people and takes the time to listen to our concerns. This first visit by an MP sets a new standard for us,” Chief Abisia stated.
“Our communities are truly grateful for your visit today, and we will continue to support you in this endeavor.”
In a statement, Mr. Fuo’o expressed his excitement about engaging with community leaders, church representatives, and local residents.
He emphasized the importance of gathering insights and feedback to inform the constituency’s development strategy.
“Your dedication and the hard work of your committees are greatly appreciated. Thank you for believing in my vision for the Central Kwara’ae Constituency,” he said.
“Together, we will work towards a brighter future for our people,” Mr. Fuo’o concluded.
