MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Temotu Pele Constituency and Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Dudley Kopu say he is looking forward at addressing the essential services for his people especially in the area of water supply and sanitation.
Speaking to the people on Reef Islands last week at the launching of three water supply projects in his constituency, he said, his immediate plans are in these two areas.
“I encourage efforts towards essential services including water supply and sanitation,” MP Kopu said.
He said the issue of sanitation as one of the big concerns for the constituency, it must be addressed soon.
“The environmental division of the Ministry of Health (MHMS) will be asked to assist with this problem.
“My constituency will support with finance towards this services,” he said.
He said ROC has seen the need to assist in the water project and now there is flow of water from the taps.
“This has not happened before in the history of our village.”
He urged the people to look after the facilities.
“I would be very disturbed if the assistance is vandalized or wrecked through inappropriate behaviour,” he said.
