MQB Tailor and Dye Shop is the main tailor to dress Miss Lauru, Ms. Elsie Polosovai for the final Miss Solomon Islands Pageant (MSIP) event this weekend.
Miss Lauru will wear the dresses during the crowning night which is set for this Saturday at Pacific Crown Hotel.
MQB Owner, Margaret Qae has confirmed this to Solomon Star in an interview yesterday.
Her business is located at AJ City Mall in Central Guadalcanal.
She said her business was privileged to sew Miss Lauru three dresses, one of the dresses she will wear during the crowning night.
“I will have the privilege of having my tailor shop being promoted when Miss Lauru visits my shop.
“I anticipated receiving more customers in days to come,” she added.
Miss Lauru is one of the following pageants via Facebook.
Miss Lauru Elsie Polosovai and Margaret Qae come from the same village in Choiseul, they are also closely related.
Qae started her tailor and dye Business back in 2022 after she quit her professional job as a Math and Business teacher.
She has been in the profession for almost 14 years serving the government and people of Solomon Islands through her teaching profession.
With the wealth of experiences, she as a business and maths teacher, she managed to start her own business.
She employed local women to work in her shop.
She also had experiences with cloth dye where she also trained other women in the provinces so that they can be an entrepreneur like her in the future.
The crowning night is expected to be colourful.
