HONIARA is expected to come alive this weekend when the Miss Solomon Islands Pageant (MSIP) will conclude with the crowning of the 2024 Miss Solomon.
The two days event will commence with a speech contest by the six contestants on Friday morning.
After the speech, the contestants will hit the road in a float parade through the city.
This will allow the public to meet and greet them.
Organisers said, the pre-pageant speech category will be staged at the Pacific Crown Hotel.
The contestants have been busy over the past six weeks advocating on certain issues after raising their hands to contest.
In the past weeks they have been engaged in a number of charity work and community engagement such as visiting schools, churches and participating in public events.
Corporate dinner fundraisers were also hosted to support their charity work.
The winner will represent Solomon Islands in the coming upcoming Pacific Islands pageant show to be hosted by Solomon Islands later this year.
The gate opens at 4.30pm for the public to come and witness the crowning night on Saturday which will run till 1am.
