THE matter of the outgoing Member of Parliament (MP) for Savo/Russell, Dickson Mua has been adjourned to Thursday next week.
This was after the completion of the evidence of two prosecution witnesses who were recalled to the witness box, Thursday.
Former Constituency Development Officer (CDO), Richard Duva, and former Project Officer, Dennis Akorae were grilled in relation to the project proposal the Savo/Russell constituency submitted to the Ministry of Rural Development (MRD) in 2013.
They confirmed to the court that in 2013, Oceanic Marine Limited was the supplier of boats and engines to Savo/Russell constituency.
After the recalling of the two witnesses, Chief Magistrate Emma Garo adjourned the matter to Thursday next week.
This is to confirm whether the final witness for the prosecution case, Albert Wong, the owner of Oceanic Marine Limited arrived in the country.
Prosecution on Wednesday said Wong, though being under medical treatment in Australia, will be travel back to the country on Thursday next week.
Wong also confirmed to the prosecution that he will give evidence on Friday next week before returning to complete his treatment.
Wong is being labelled as a crucial witness to the prosecution case and that the prosecution intends to call him to the witness box.
Mua is standing trial for one count of conversion.
He is accused of diverting $3million shipping grant intended to purchase a ship for his constituency in 2013.
Prosecution alleged he converted the $3million meant for the ship, for other uses.
Lesley Kwaiga of L & L Lawyers is representing Mua while Public Prosecutor Sirepu Ramosaea appears for the Crown.
