The fate of the man accused of murdering a man in Makira in 2012 will be known today.
Chief Justice Sir Albert Palmer will hand down the judgment for Patrick Sovesuia at 1.30pm this afternoon in the High Court.
The 24 year-old man stood trial for one count of murder.
However, during the trial, evidences of the charges of criminal trespass and attempted arson came up.
As a result, the accused was also charged for criminal trespass and attempted arson.
The trial was conducted in May this year.
The charges were in relation to alleged offences on the night of 3 December 2012, at Terea Settlement in Central Bauro, where Sovesuia allegedly stabbed a man with a screw driver.
The deceased was taken to the Kirakira hospital but died hours later due to the stab wound.
In relation to the additional charges, it was alleged that on the same night, the accused trespassed into the house of a prosecution witness and lit a piece of mosquito net used as a rope in that house.
Sovesuia is being represented by Wayne Ghemu while Public Prosecutor Florence Joel is representing the State.
