Chief Justice Sir Albert Palmer has deferred judgement for a man accused of murdering a man in Makira.
The judgment was listed for Wednesday but was re-listed for August 4 at 1.30pm.
Patrick Sovesuia, 24, was accused stabbing a man with a screw driver on the night of 3 December 2012 at Terea Settlement in Bauro.
The deceased was taken to the Kirakira hospital but died hours later due to the stab wounds.
The trial was conducted in May this year.
During the trial, additional charges were laid against the accused following the evidence of one of the prosecution’s witnesses.
As a result, the accused was also charged criminal trespass and attempted arson.
In relation to the additional charges, Sovesuia that same night allegedly trespassed into the house of a prosecution witness and lit a piece of mosquito net used as a rope in that house.
Sovesuia is being represented by Wayne Ghemu while Public Prosecutor Florence Joel is representing the State.
